Your First Time...

Your first time doing the open is kind of scary - the fear of the unknown (that actually probably never goes away) - the fear you will fail (you won't - there is only opportunity here to do something you have never done) - the fear you will get dead last (you can only get last if you don't do it). Take that little bit of fear you have and let it me a little motivator, let it light the fire of your inner competitor, and see what it is like to compete against yourself. 

For those of you who have done the Open, this is now your opportunity to compare where you are now to your old self. Will you beat them? How has your work this past year paid off? 

No matter who you are, the open is a good thing. Pressure makes diamonds ... but at the end of the day, pressure is just the air we breath.
