Join us Thursday, May 31st at 6:00pm for a two hour course learning how to avoid dangerous situations and what effective strikes you can employ should you ever need to. There will be classroom sessions and activity sessions so please wear attire you would typically come to workout in.
Instructors for this course are Special Response Operators H. Blackburn and S. Naqwe. Both officers have a wealth of knowledge and experience they will be sharing with us.
If you want to learn how to keep yourself and your family safe in a dangerous situation, this is a great class for you.

It is that time again to dial in the nutrition game and use our Ninja skills to get closer to accomplishing our goals!
As always, you can become a Food Ninja even if you have not done the previous challenges. Each challenge does get a little harder but don't worry, you have a coach and fellow ninjas that will help you learn how to eat to fuel your performance, lose fat, and gain muscle!

- Activity Minimum Goals
- Pre and Post weigh in and 7- Site Body Comp Assessment
- 60 Minute Nutrition Seminar at CrossFit Shoofly (date TBD)
- MVP winner for the participant who has the most percent change at the end of the challenge (4 weeks).
This challenge is led by Amanda Street, head coach at CrossFit Shoofly holding a Masters in Nutrition Science and 6 years experience nutrition consulting.
CrossFit Shoofly and the ALS Association of North Carolina team up for the first Friday Night Lights of 2018. Join us to raise money and help in the fight against ALS.

This is a new series where we show off our fitness outside the box! We will be planning small trips to various recreation spots in our area to enjoy being fit and trying new things. This is a great opportunity to take what we train for inside the gym and use it for other activities while having fun as a group.
Our next trip will be on Saturday July 15th at Jordan Lake giving Stand Up Paddle Boarding a try! An ultimate test of balance and stability and a great excuse to play in the water.
CrossFit ShooFly presents our July Friday Night Lights Fundraising event. Doors open at 6:30pm and the workout will begin at 7:00pm. This month we will be raising money for Vets to Vets United. Vets To Vets United, Inc., consists of local veterinarians and volunteers working together to provide companion, therapeutic, and service animals, and discounted veterinary care to our U.S. Military Veterans suffering from loneliness, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and physical disabilities.

Join us on Memorial Day, May 29th at 9:30am to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrafice in protecting our country. "Murph" is a Hero workout dedicated to Michael "Murph" Murphy who was killed in Afghanistan June 2005. This workout was one of his favorites and was then named after him. We go through this workout together in honor of Murph and the many like him.
It is great to have a cookout and enjoy the day; however, why not start the day with giving your effort in a brutal workout to show gratitude and respect for what they have done for us.
